Battlefield 3 Medic Kit Overview

The Medic Kit is an item that Battlefield 3 players can use in order to heal their comrades and themselves. It is for Assault Kit players only, and can be used simply by pressing the left arrow on the directional pad.

The Medic Kit is a pretty strong tool that most players do not take advantage of. It is especially good when you are going against an entrenched enemy and fighting through tight quarters such as buildings (think stage 3 of Operation Metro).

One really good way to use the Medic Kit is to use it to heal players which are fighting head-on with the opponent. If your team is shooting at the enemy from around the corner, you can throw them a Medic Kit and stand safely behind the wall while watching their backs. This way, they can heal up as they attack with your Med Kit and you also can simultaneously watch their back.

If one of those teammates happens to go down, you can use the Defibulator, which will bring them back to life (and then they can heal up even more on the health kit upon revival).

The Health Kit is useful not only to heal players but also to earn points. Every 10% health healed with the Medical Kit seems to offer you 10 points for teammates and 20 points for squad members. This can add up to 1,000+ points throughout a match if you regularly put your packs down in useful spots.

This can often speed up your leveling rate by 20%-30% when compared to just using your gun. When you add in the Defibulator + Medical Kit combo, it really adds on a lot of bonus experience.

One of the best things you can do with your medical kit is throw it down near teammates who are trying to push forward through a tight choke point against an entrenched enemy. When two parties are engaged in direct fire, the Medical Kit can be a huge advantage for your team.

Even if you do not stick around with the players using your Medical Kit, you will earn a lot of points in the process, which will let you level up faster, so it is always worth throwing them down.
