Otherwise, if you go and join the fray and your teammates spawn on top of you, one of you may get picked off right away if you are hiding behind a small amount of cover of if your teammate is not ready for the imminent firefight.

Finally, you can use it if you need reinforcements to hold down a location. Think of Operation Metro again, this time in Team Deathmatch. If you want to hold down one of the buildings and need reinforcements, drop the Radio Beacon down in a building so your team constantly respawns there.
