Battlefield 3 Weapons List
In this portion of our Battlefield 3 Guide, we will be going over all
the weapons available to you in Battlefield 3, covering not only general weapon stats but also the best
strategies for using each of these weapon types.
We have broken this Battlefield 3 Weapons list down into 6 Categories: Assault Weapons, Engineer Weapons, Recon
Weapons, Support Weapons, Global Weapons, and Pistols.
The kit-specific weapons are only usable when playing that particular class and are unlocked by leveling up that
class. Global weapons are weapons that once unlocked can be used with any kit and are typically unlocked via normal
levels. Pistols are also unlocked from leveling and are used as a secondary weapon in conjunction with a normal
gun.
Battlefield 3 Weapons List - Assault Kit
Below, you will find a list of Rifles used by the Assault class, in alphabetical order (not unlock order). These
are typically Assault Rifles which are overall effective weapons from any range but do best a short to mid-range
combat.

BF3 Weapons List - Engineer Class
The Engineer class primarily has the shortest range weapons of any class and is the only class which has true
submachine guns as a primary weapon. This is because Engineers often find themselves needing to defend themselves
at very close range as enemies try to storm the mechanical things engineers may be controlling or repairing.
Note that the Engineer uses Carbines as well. In real life, Carbines are basically the same thing as Assault
Rifles, but in Battlefield 3, it means that you get different achievements and unlocks (i.e. a Carbine Ribbon
instead of an Assault Ribbon).

List for a full Engineer guns list or you can click on a specific weapon name below to find out more about that
particular gun below (guns are in alphabetical order rather than unlock order):
Battlefield 3 Weapons List - Recon Kit Weapons List
The Recon class is the Sniping class of Battlefield 3. It has access to all of the Sniper Rifles in the game.

list below in order to get more specifics about a single gun:

BF3 Weapons List - Support Kit
The Support kit primarily consists of light machine guns. Contrary to the name, a "light" machine gun is a very
large weapon and the largest personal weapon in the game. A machine gun by popular usage is actually an assault
rifle or submachine gun, whereas the term "machine gun" actually refers to a large, typically mounted gun which is
far to large for a person to carry.
Light machine guns tend to have very large clips and be rather inaccurate. They allow you to send out a lot of
bullets and spray the enemy from a distance. This will keep them pinned down while the rest of your team moves
up.
You can either check out our Battlefield 3 Support Kit Weapons List for an overview of each weapon or click on a
specific weapon name below to find out more about that weapon:

also includes shotguns should you feel inclined to play with them. By using these weapons, any kit can have access
to all gun types. These are unlocked from leveling up (i.e. getting promoted).

leveling up overall in the game and are not specific to any particular kit. Note that you often unlock the same gun
but with different varieties; a silenced gun has a suppressor attached to the original model while a the tactical
version has a laser sight added on.

Battlefield 3 Weapons List Conclusion
In total, you will have access to dozens of different weapons in Battlefield 3. Even if you only spent a few
hours with each gun, it would take you weeks before you got to thoroughly experience each one! I recommend sticking
to a gun that feels right to you and mastering it rather than never using the same gun twice.
Try them all of the Battlefield 3 weapons and then go exclusively with the one you like the best in order
to master it. If you become great with one weapon, you will be much more effective then if you are just decent with
every gun.
